We Shall Not Be Moved: Women’s Extravaganza 2026
Women’s Day weekend in South Africa has become a time for the Africa South Field Women’s Extravaganza, and this year was no different. From 7–9 August, more than 3,700 people, mostly women, from six countries gathered at the Heartfelt Arena outside Pretoria, South Africa, to praise the Lord and be edified under the theme, “I shall not be moved!” Special speaker Rev. KG Ndlovu, wife of the Africa South Field Strategy Coordinator (FSC), Rev. Solomon Ndlovu, and representing the RSA Eastern District, shared powerful messages each evening with those present, admonishing them to stand firm, remain rooted in Christ and develop resilience in these challenging times. This event forms part of the Africa South Field NDI strategy to make Christ-like disciples in the nations.
Highlights of the weekend included the choir sections, where each of the 21 districts present dressed in corresponding outfits and sang a song they had prepared during the year. Another highlight was the offering competition, where each district worked to raise money for the following year’s conference and for the Nazarene universities and Bible colleges on the Africa South Field and in Mozambique. Many women renewed friendships made in previous years and danced alongside one another, praising the Lord, smiling and bonding over shared experiences. An additional highlight was seeing women from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, Mozambique and South Africa come together throughout the weekend, bonded by their love for Christ.
Showing support for this event were Rev. Solomon Ndlovu, Africa South Field FSC; Dr. Faith Mngomezulu, Vice Chancellor of Southern Africa Nazarene University in Eswatini; representatives from Nazarene Theological College; District Superintendents; Nazarene Men’s Conference representatives; and others. Greetings were also sent by Dr. Sam Barber, Global NDI Coordinator; Mrs. Thais Sitoe, Africa Region NDI Coordinator; and Rev. Ronald Miller, Africa South Field NDI Coordinator.
Each year, a team of 15 council members, led by Rev. Irene Mpangana, works tirelessly to organise every aspect of this event, with all of its moving parts. We are grateful for the hard work this special group of ladies puts into making this large event possible. Mark your calendars now for next year’s Extravaganza, which will be held at the same venue from 6–8 August 2027.
