Nazarene Bible College of East Africa Graduation

Sixteen graduates—11 females and 5 males—gathered at the Kiatine Church of the Nazarene on the Kenya Eastern District to celebrate their graduation from Nazarene Bible College of East Africa (NBCEA) on 2 November 2025. This event celebrated their academic accomplishment and spiritual preparation to serve as effective leaders in evangelism, discipleship and church growth within their local churches and communities.

This event was organised to celebrate and commission trained leaders who have been equipped for ministry. As evangelism expands and more churches are being planted, the need for qualified leaders continues to grow. The graduation recognised men and women who have answered God’s call and prepared themselves for service. Their training ensures that the growing churches have capable pastors, teachers and evangelists who can nurture believers and reach new communities for Christ.

The graduation was filled with joy and thanksgiving as testimonies were shared. One of the graduates, Susan, said, “This training has changed how I see ministry — I now feel equipped to preach, teach and disciple others.”

Another leader, Collins, remarked, Growing churches need strong leaders. If we stop making leaders, the mission stops growing.”

The special guest speaker was Dr Musa Kunene, a missionary on the Africa Region working at Africa Nazarene University. He shared from Ecclesiastes 9:10, where it says, “Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom.” He reminded the graduates to be competitive, competent and excellent in ministry, serving God wholeheartedly and using their gifts diligently for the advancement of the Kingdom.

This graduation was made possible through a partnership between the Nazarene Bible College of East Africa (NBCEA) and the Evangelism and Church Growth Ministry. Through the support of Evangelism and Church Growth Africa East Field (AEF) under the leadership of Rev Augustus Musili, evangelists and church planters in the district have been receiving assistance and sponsorship to pursue theological training.

The 16 graduates were direct beneficiaries of this partnership initiative, which seeks to empower local church leaders with sound biblical and ministerial education. The collaboration ensures that those actively involved in evangelism and church planting are equipped with the knowledge, skills and spiritual maturity needed to lead growing congregations effectively.
