Tuko Pamoja – Africa East Field Men’s Conference

From 17-19 October, 182 men from across Africa East Field (AEF) gathered at the Jarika Hotel in Nakuru, Kenya for a men’s conference challenging them in their spiritual lives. The men represented the countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan, and it was attended by DS’s, the FSC, field department heads and representation from two learning institutions: Nazarene Bible College East Africa (NBCEA) and Africa Nazarene University (ANU). The purpose of the Nazarene Men Conference was to bring together men from across the field for spiritual renewal, fellowship and leadership development. The event was designed to transform and empower men to be godly leaders who influence their spheres of influence with Christlike character and purpose.

Under the theme, “Tuko Pamoja”, this transformative gathering guided by the FSC, Rev Stanley Ushe, and supported by Rev Elizabeth Musimbi, Field NDI Coordinator and various district superintendents, the conference emphasised unity, discipleship and empowerment. It featured impactful teachings such as Dr Musa Kunene’s “Iron Men of Faith,” Rev Ushe’s “Shepherd Leaders,” Rev Elijah King’ori’s, “Brothers in Arms” and Dr Gift Mtukwa’s “Legacy Builders.” The guest speaker, Rev Titus Joseph, ministered in plenary sessions on topics such as men as agents of transformation, leading with integrity and vision and passing the baton to the next generation.

“This conference has completely transformed how I see my role as a man of God,” said Pastor Whycliff Samba, a participant at the conference. “I’ve learned that true strength is found in prayer, unity and servant leadership. I’m going back home renewed and ready to lead my family, church and community with integrity and faith.”
