NMI Prayer Summit

We can reach our world if we will. The greatest lack today is not people or funds but it is prayer. Prayer is the mighty engine that moves the missionary work.

With the above statements in mind, the Togo South District NMI held a prayer summit on 9 June 2022 to pray for the nations, their leaders, the revival of the church in Togo and the missionaries worldwide. The objectives of this summit were to analyse the current state of NMI and encourage members to pray.

During the prayer summit, the Africa West Field NMI Coordinator, Rev Enoch Sessou, took attendees through Colossians 4:2-4 and asked the question: “What’s your dream and to what corner of the missions world will it take you?” This helped the attendees see the importance of prayer and that devotion to prayer is a characteristic of a mission-driven life, just as Christ encouraged his disciples throughout the Gospels and the Great Commission.

District Superintendent Rev. Yaovi Landoupo, also attended the summit to encourage and to, dedicate and pray for the new District NMI Council. This prayer summit is to be held quarterly in the Togo South District.
