Retiring Missionaries Honoured
The Church of the Nazarene Africa Region wishes to honour retiring missionaries Dr Rodney and Sarah Reed, and Ermias Choliye and Mulu Wolla, who have faithfully served in various roles on the Africa East Field (AEF) and the Horn of Africa Field (HOA). The two couples were recently honoured during a meeting of the General Board of the Church of the Nazarene in Kansas City, USA.
Rodney and Sarah Reed served in Kenya from 2000 until their retirement in 2025. Dr Reed served faithfully at Africa Nazarene University (ANU) as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, in addition to holding various teaching positions in the theology department at the university. Sarah coordinated Children’s Ministry for the Africa East Field and was known for her passion for the ministry and for developing numerous resources to support it.
Ermias Choliye and Mulu Wolla served on the Africa East Field and in the Horn of Africa Area, ministering among refugees. Mulu served as the Nairobi Refugee Coordinator, while Ermias’ ministry took him further afield, serving in several other countries.
We thank these two families for their many years of sacrifice, faithful service, and commitment to missions. Please pray for them as they transition into retirement and embrace this new season of life.
