Ordination of 23 pastors in Democratic Republic of Congo – Goma.

On the 17th of March 2023, General Superintendent, Dr.  Eugenio Duarte, went to the city of Goma located in DRC accompanied by Regional Director, Dr. Dany Gomis, to ordain 23 pastors representing 6 different districts.

Goma is a city located in North Kivu province of the DRC, on the northern shore of Lake Kivu and boarders with Rwanda.

22 pastors were ordained as Elders and one pastor was ordained as a Deacon. Mymy la Grace Onokoko Bokakandani, was one of the pastors ordained. She is the wife of Rev. Antoine On’okoko, the District Superintended of Congo Brazzaville District, who was also in attendance at the service.

Rev. Daniel Ncuna from Equatorial Guineas; Rev. Desire Bugeshi from DRC Goma district; Rev. Mario Martinez from South Kivu who is acting as interim DS after the passing of late DS Rev. Deo Munyololo; and Rev. Pigeon Rwananiye from Virunga district were also in attendance and brought ordinands from their respective Districts.

Dr. Eugenio Duarte preached a sermon with the theme “Biblical examples of Success” from 1 Timothy 4:6-16. The sermon focused on Paul’s example of success from Acts 20:1 – 38. It was a wonderful time of celebrating the way God is working across the Districts and continuing to call ministers to work for the Kingdom!
