Namibia District Hosts Easter Revival and Training
From 3 to 5 April 2026, the Namibia District held an Easter Revival and Camp for all ages in the northern town of Opuwa, close to the Angolan border. The event featured Rev Reuben Pillay, Evangelism Coordinator for the Africa South Field, who shared the Word and guided young people through training in the NexGen concept.
The district’s planning team chose to host this year’s Easter Camp as a revival and crusade outside the capital, selecting Opuwa for its strong Church of the Nazarene presence.
Using the energy of the youth, Rev Pillay dedicated Saturday to practical NexGen training, developed by Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI). Many young Namibians had completed NexGen training before and offered valuable support during the sessions. The goal of NexGen is to help young people embrace church planting as a way to reach their communities and discern the next faithful steps in their own setting.
A major highlight was the leadership of Grace Amazing Kandjware (23), the youngest Certified Trainer, and Celeste (27), who stepped forward as facilitators under the guidance of Rev Pillay and John Tombessa, the Namibia District Evangelism Coordinator. Both recently earned their Certified Trainer status through the DCPI Online Training Platform. This was their first live, in‑person facilitation, and they led with confidence. As young Namibians themselves, their sincerity and passion connected deeply with the community, resulting in standing ovations and warm encouragement.
Let us continue to pray for the next generation of church planters in Namibia and beyond as we invest in growing the church in every place.
