Freedom to Leader Training on Zimbabwe Midlands District
In Zimbabwe’s newest district, the Zimbabwe Midlands District, a leadership development session was held at the Gweru church from 24-28 June 2024, in collaboration with the Freedom to Lead seminar. Rev Sharon Ngomane from RSA Western District and Rev Oliver Chavunduka from the Zimbabwe East District, under the leadership of DS Rev Margareth Sibanda, conducted training on leading a healthy church and driving change. These topics are crucial to ensure that the church’s actions align with those of Jesus.
The Midlands District, which is rapidly expanding into new areas and establishing numerous churches, is under the guidance of Rev Sibanda, who has taken on her late husband’s church planting legacy. She believes that this training will greatly benefit the district, as new pastors are continuously being trained to meet the demands of the Midlands District.
For the past five years, the Africa Region has been training individuals from various parts of the continent in the Freedom to Lead curriculum. These trained leaders are now disseminating their knowledge by conducting similar trainings in their local districts and fields. Both Rev Ngomane and Rev Chavunduka have been equipped to train others.
Let’s keep those who have been trained in Freedom to Lead in our prayers as they begin to share their newfound knowledge and training with their local districts and fields.
