FIRST GRADUATION OF ITN/NTI in GUINEA-CONAKRY – 2021

756 km from Abidjan the capital of Côte d’Ivoire, an ITN delegation led by the ITN Africa Director, Rev Antero Fontes met in Nzérékoré – Guinea-Conakry. Though the journey was difficult and rough and full of challenges, the celebrations made it all the more worthwhile. The ITN/NTI leaders met with the Guinean Church and state leaders for the very first graduation ceremony in the history of the Church there.

Rev. Fontes reported: “Thirty recipients received their diplomas (14) and certificates (16), of which 40℅ were women.”

Rev. Fontes shared a word from the passage in 1 Samuel 30: 1-6; 8; 18-19 in which he likened the 2021 class of G-K’s ITN with that of the generation of David. The “generation of David class” was encouraged to trust in the Lord to bring restoration and be scouts for the people to recover whatever the enemy had taken in their past.

The torch of this outgoing class was handed over to the representative who remains with 40 other students for the next graduation ceremony in 2023. The hospitality party and the spirit of welcome of the educational leaders by the Coordinator Rev. Théa et Mme Théa et famille were at a high level of excellence which can be summed up in the words of the Field Education Coordinator, Rév. Gohi, “Guinea is the mother of hospitality.”
