Announcing Mission Teams Coordinator

It is our pleasure to officially announce the appointment of Mitchel Ramos Cruz as the Nazarene Mission Teams Coordinator for the Africa Region. Mitchel began this assignment on 1 October 2025.

Mitchel is originally from the small town of Jiquipilas in southern Mexico, and he is married to Sury, who is from Guatemala.

The Lord blessed Mitchel with the opportunity to graduate as a civil engineer with a specialisation in Sustainable Community Development. In 2017, the Lord called him into church service, where he began serving as a volunteer in response to the earthquake in Mexico that same year.

Since then, Mitchel has served in several countries, including Guatemala and El Salvador, as a Work and Witness Assistant for the North Central Area. He also served in Mexico as the Work and Witness Coordinator.

In addition, the Lord has allowed him to serve in ministries such as Lazarus World Homes, where he participated in the construction of clinics, churches and pastoral homes.

In 2022, Mitchel was called to serve as a Work and Witness Assistant for ANU, where he coordinated projects and mission teams through 2024.

Mitchel has expressed his love for serving side by side with brothers and sisters in Christ, helping develop the vision the Lord has given them and being part of the answer to many prayers.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Rev Timothy Eby (Pastor Tim) for the extraordinary work he carried out while serving as the Work and Witness Teams Coordinator.

Please join us in warmly welcoming Mitchel Ramos Cruz to the Africa Region Team.
