Revive Us, Oh Lord – Power Zone Churches Gather in Unity
Sunday, the 22nd of June was not like any other Sunday. Brothers and sisters from three churches on the Zambia South District joined together to have a powerful and unforgettable gathering of the Power Zone Big Sunday. Over 130 members of the Power of Faith, the Power of Love and Power of Praise Churches of the Nazarene attended and worshipped together, singing songs, listening to the Word and celebrating the move of God.
What made this Sunday even more special were that 25 people who were baptised, and the 55 individuals who were received into full membership, all to the glory of God. This event marks a revival on the zone, which has previously been quiet for some time.
Rev Peter Tembo, presiding pastor of Power of Faith, encouraged all the churches in the zone to remain in the love of God. “I’m happy this is happening,” he said. “The zone had gone down, but we are witnessing revival. God is restoring us, and it’s all for His glory.”
Pastor Francis Phiri shared a powerful message during the service, based on 1 Peter 1:12–16 and 1 Thessalonians 5:23–26, while the women’s group also led the congregation in joyful worship. Rev Peter Tembo welcomed all and thanked everyone for standing together in unity. The message of the day was clear: Revive us, oh Lord!
We are seeing it. We are living it. God is uniting and awakening the Zambia South Power Zone.
