Over the weekend of 16-18 August 2024, a gathering took place at the Good News Convention Centre, located just outside Johannesburg, South Africa, where two thousand and fifty (2050) women from the Africa South Field came together for the Women’s Extravaganza. This annual event, organised by the women’s council of the Field, attracts participants from as far away as Mozambique.
The theme for this year was “Revive Us Again,” featuring speakers such as Mrs Tumelo Mohlaphuli (Mental Health Expert), Rev Grace Masilela, and Rev Nkateko Kgwadi. The attendees were encouraged to return to their local congregations to create Christ-like disciples in their communities.
Among the conference’s highlights were the special performances by each district in their coordinated outfits, the lively praise and worship sessions, and the inspiring messages that called on the women to embody the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
