Telling Children About Jesus
On April 19, 2024, the children and teachers at the Caninhe Church of the Nazarene in Mozambique’s Gaza Province, gathered under the trees and in available spaces to discuss the birth of Jesus Christ and His plan of salvation for all humanity. This event aimed to share the story of Jesus’ birth with the local church’s children and demonstrate to Sunday School teachers how visual aids can be used to narrate various Bible stories.
Mr Israel Matavele, a Nazarene layman trained by Child Evangelism Fellowship in children’s evangelism and Sunday School teachings from Maputo, travelled to Gaza Province to lead this training session. The new pastor in the area, along with District Superintendent Rev Sérgio Muhai, youth, and adults, actively participated in this significant training initiative. It’s a blessing to see Sunday School teachers being equipped to guide and mentor the next generation.
