We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rev. Vuyani Gladman Tom as the new District Superintendent of the RSA Kei District in South Africa. Dr. Chambo appointed Rev. Tom following the resignation of the former superintendent, Dr. R. (Klaas) Tau. This two-year appointment, effective April 1, 2025, will extend through the 2027 assembly of the RSA Kei District.
Rev. Tom began his pastoral journey in New Brighton Township, Port Elizabeth. In 1992, he relocated to Cape Town, where he was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene. From 1997 to 1999, he contributed to the Siyaphumelela Church of the Nazarene in Khayelitsha. In 2000, he returned to his home district and was invited to lead the Mdantsane First Church of the Nazarene. Under the auspices of this mother church, he successfully established several preaching points, resulting in significant spiritual growth.
