NAMECO—Nazarene Men’s Conference
From 22-24 September, 235 men from the Africa South Field gathered at the Ave Maria Pastoral Centre just outside of Gaborone, Botswana, for the Nazarene Men’s Conference (NAMECO) with the theme of “Man Empowered to Deliver on His Godly Mandate”. Dynamic speakers such as Dr David Molapo, Dr Gabriel Benjiman, Rev Frank Mahlaba and Rev Lovemore Chikova shared what God had laid on their hearts for the men present. Their messages were challenging and inspirational to many who were present. The Eswatini Central District brought the most people with 37 participants who were able to be a part of this event.
The services were vibrant and led by the Gaborne South Church of the Nazarene praise and worship team. The committee did a great job of designing a programme that really challenged the men present to follow God’s holy mandate. In the words of one committee member, Mr Ketshepile Mooketsi, “Men were motivated to not swerve from God’s design for them.” Those present voted to have the next NAMECO in Eswatini in September of 2024.
