Malagasy Couples Grow in Holiness
On 14 February 2026, couples from around the Antananarivo area of Madagascar gathered for the fourth annual couples’ seminar that found a record-breaking 250 individuals present to learn how they can “Grow in Holiness” together. Based on the biblical passage from Jude 20 that states, “But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,” the participants enjoyed a time of praise and worship, the Word and special teachings on holiness in relationships given by Rev Richard Ravelomanantsoa.
The conference wasn’t just teachings, but the couples were able to participate in games where they could win prizes, a photo booth and a time of dancing where the couples celebrated their love. There was also an opportunity for couples to publicly verbalise their love and appreciation for one other. A lovely lunch was also provided by some of the participants and the District NDI who helped sponsor the event.
The couples present approached their marriages with a new attitude and a fresh perspective. A renewed love blossomed, as one of the teachings encouraged them to place Jesus Christ at the center of their relationship.
“This [was a] glorious moment, as Jesus Christ once again demonstrated His greatness and majesty,” stated DS, Rev Patrice Ratovoarilala.
As we enter this new year, let us pray that God will strengthen all marriages as they are the foundation to stable and thriving societies.
