Seminario Nazareno de Moçambique Graduates 34 students
On 23 November 2024, the Seminario Nazareno de Moçambique celebrated the graduation of 34 students with a Diploma in Theology, thus completing the programme of studies for ordination. The graduating class consisted of students from Maputo, Matola, Boane, Manhiça and Manjacaze Districts.
The Graduation Service was a moment of great celebration of God’s faithfulness by the students and church leadership. This class went through many challenges since they started their classes during onset of covid pandemic. One of the students commented, “We are the result of resilience. The covid pandemic and the post-election instability did not stop us from finishing our programme of studies!”
Due the unrest in Maputo City, regional and global leadership were unable to be present for the service. A message was read from Dr Gabriel Benjiman, Regional Higher Education and Clergy Development Coordinator, that stated, “Today, we gather to celebrate a significant milestone in your journey—a culmination of hard work, persistence, and the pursuit of wisdom. As we reflect on this achievement, we are inspired by the words from Luke’s Gospel: ‘Jesus grew in wisdom, in stature, and in favour with God and fellow humanity’. Like Jesus, your growth in knowledge and understanding is meant to serve not just yourselves, but also the world and the Creator who has blessed you with this opportunity.” He continued by saying, “Graduates, as you step into this next chapter, know that you are more than conquerors through Him who loves you. Neither hardship nor uncertainty, neither present challenges nor future trials, can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus. This unshakable truth will be your anchor, giving you the courage to face whatever lies ahead.”
It is with great joy that we say congratulations, and may God bless you abundantly in this new season!
