During a recent trip to the US state of Tennessee to visit with family members, USA Michigan District Superintendent, Dr. John Seaman, began having seizures and was rushed to the hospital. It was determined that he had a brain tumour, but the type and scope of tumour was unknown.
After consultations with doctors, Dr. Seaman was taken into surgery on the 31st of August back at his home in Michigan. Dr. Seaman came through surgery fine and the tumour has declared cancerous, but the severity of the cancer and the type of treatment that he will need is something that will be determined in the next few days. Please continue to lift the Seaman family in your prayers as they walk this difficult path of illness and treatment.
Prior to serving as district superintendent, Dr. Seaman and his wife, Linda, and their three children, served as missionaries to Martinique and Côte d’Ivoire from 1976 to 2003. Many of our West African brothers and sisters will fondly remember the Seaman family.
