Calling all Nazarenes to unite in prayer from the 7th – 27th January 2019 using the 7 characteristics of a Nazarene as the prayer focus.

Dear fellow brothers and sisters,

As Nazarenes, we are people of One Book (The Bible), of One Lord (Jesus-Christ) and of One Doctrine (Holiness) and they are all united under one theme of LOVE.

In this new season of 2019, we invite you to enter in a Spirit of prayer for a journey of 21 days. You are invited to observe specific days of fasting during those 21 days.

We are looking at three major goals:

  1. Praying in one accord. Our Lord Jesus promised us in Matthew 18:19: “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
  2. Praying with the Bible. As the Psalmist says: “Oh, how I love your law! I meditate it all day long. Your commands are always with me…” Psalm 119:97. The Bible is our Prayer Book and our Book of answers to our prayers.
  3. Praying with our eyes, our minds and our hearts opened to the Spirit of God. Psalms 119:18: “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law and pray with understanding: 1 Corinthians 14:15: “I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding.”

Our prayer for you in this year 2019: May you be blessed according to Psalms 89:16: “Blessed are those who hear the joyful blast of the trumpet, for they shall walk in the light of your presence.” Psalms 89:16. (TLB)
